How Card Meridian handles account information, private collection records, card images, usage data, and service providers.Effective and last updated: September 3, 2026These policies explain how Card Meridian works and the responsibilities that come with using it. Questions may be sent to support@cardmeridian.com.
Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Card Meridian collects, uses, discloses, and retains personal information when you visit cardmeridian.com, create an account, upload cards, use Meridian Grade or market intelligence, contact support, or purchase a subscription.
Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account information, including name, email address, authentication identifiers, and password-related records handled by our authentication provider.
- Collection information, including card details, quantities, costs, values, notes, spreadsheets, front/back images, and guided grading images.
- Subscription and transaction information. A payment processor handles full payment-card details; Card Meridian may receive customer, subscription, plan, status, billing, and transaction identifiers.
- Communications, product feedback, support requests, and survey responses.
Information collected automatically
- Device, browser, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, timestamps, referring pages, and security logs.
- Product activity such as pages viewed, searches, uploads, feature use, processing duration, errors, plan usage, and interactions with recommendations.
- Cookies or similar storage needed for sessions, preferences, and security.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics collects aggregate website usage and performance information, such as page views, referral sources, approximate country, device or browser type, and page-load timing. Cloudflare states that this service does not use cookies or local storage and does not fingerprint individual visitors for analytics.
Information from integrations
When you connect a seller account, we may receive marketplace account identifiers, authorization tokens, business-policy and inventory-location labels, listings, orders, fees, refunds, fulfillment status, and payout-related records. Authorization tokens are encrypted at rest and used only to perform marketplace actions you request and synchronize your selling activity. We may also receive card catalog, sold-sale, modeled-market, and image-match information from service providers and public or licensed sources.
How we use information
- Create, authenticate, secure, and support accounts.
- Store collections and privately deliver images and records to the correct user.
- Identify cards, match catalogs, calculate values and trends, generate Meridian Grade pre-screens, and provide buy/sell/hold/grade intelligence.
- Process subscriptions, enforce plan limits, prevent fraud, diagnose failures, and maintain service reliability.
- Improve matching quality, user experience, performance, and new features using aggregated, de-identified, or appropriately protected data.
- Communicate account, security, billing, policy, and service notices and respond to requests.
- Comply with law and enforce our agreements.
AI processing and card images
When you request identification, Meridian Grade, or another AI-assisted feature, relevant card images and card details may be transmitted to contracted AI or image-recognition providers for processing. We configure and select providers for service delivery and security, but their handling is also governed by our contracts and applicable policies.
Do not place personal documents, faces, addresses, payment information, or unrelated private material in card images. Meridian Grade images are used to provide the requested condition pre-screen and may be retained with your private card record until deleted or otherwise removed under our retention practices.
How we disclose information
We disclose information only as reasonably necessary for the service, including to:
- Cloud hosting, storage, database, authentication, email, security, monitoring, analytics, customer-support, AI, image-recognition, marketplace, catalog, pricing, and payment providers.
- Professional advisers and contractors bound by appropriate confidentiality obligations.
- Government authorities or other parties when reasonably required by law, legal process, safety, fraud prevention, or protection of rights.
- A successor in a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate notice and safeguards.
We do not sell personal information for money. We do not use private card photographs or collection records to create public listings without your action or permission. If future advertising or analytics practices constitute “selling” or “sharing” under an applicable state law, we will provide the required notice and choice before using them that way.
Data retention
We retain account and collection information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. After deletion, we remove or de-identify information within a commercially reasonable period, subject to backup cycles and records retained for security, fraud prevention, billing, dispute resolution, tax, and legal obligations. Temporary processing files and unsuccessful upload parts may be deleted sooner.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, including account authentication, user-scoped records, private image delivery, transport encryption, access controls, and service monitoring. No system is perfectly secure. Keep your password unique, protect your email account, and contact us promptly about suspected unauthorized access.
Your choices and rights
You may update certain information in the service, delete cards, export eligible collection data, cancel subscriptions, and opt out of optional marketing communications. You may request access, correction, deletion, or a portable copy of personal information by emailing support@cardmeridian.com. We may verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to know, correct, delete, obtain, or appeal a decision concerning personal information, and to opt out of certain targeted advertising, sale, sharing, or profiling. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right. Authorized agents must provide proof of authority.
Children
Card Meridian is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
International use
Card Meridian is operated for the United States. If you access the service from another country, information may be processed in the United States and other locations used by our providers, where laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service and legal requirements change. Material updates will be communicated through the service, by email, or by changing the effective date.
